Director of Sales Development

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Our client is a growing division of a Fortune 500 diversified manufacturing company and is looking for a Director to lead and manage the sales development processes. We are seeking a knowledgeable and professional sales development executive for the commercial equipment/brands (B2B) who will be responsible for: 


  1. Driving sales volume 

  1. Implementing growth strategies 

  1. Strengthening market share  

  1. Working with the marketing team to develop/execute plans and strategies 

  1. Leading/managing the sales development team and supporting the field sales organization 


This position will report to the Business Unit Manager and will be a key member of the leadership team. This position will set sales targets and pricing strategies and work closely with the field sales organization, dealers, rep groups and consultants. In addition, the ideal candidate has experience in developing and executing national programs and strategies that generates growth, aligning with the marketing team to endorse product launches and establishing appropriate relationships with key stakeholders.  This position will directly manage five sales and sales support people. 


Qualifications include: 


  • BS Degree in Business or Finance, MBA a plus 

  • Eight years (minimum) Sales Development experience with five years in a Manager role 

  • Sales strategy development experience with exposure to marketing intelligence and market information 

  • Analytical with strategic planning skills and  P&L experience 

  • Customer focus 

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills 

  • MS Office application proficiency
